Logo & Typography Work

Lumpen radio

To establish the identity of the client as a radio station, an antennae with a radiating singal is created.

The task was to come up with a 5-10 second logo animation for Lumpen Radio, a local Chicago radio station. There were a variety of pre-designed logo options to choose from, and two of them were combined to create the final animation.

The antennae transitions into the first logo, a way to bridge the gap between the hardware and the brand. This logo resembles the face of a person, which symbolizes the human element that operates behind the scenes; the listener or the broadcaster.

The animation concludes with the reveal of the brand logo.

Premiere Film Festival 2024

These are the typography animations that were done for the DePaul Premiere Film Festival 2024.

*I did not create the 3D environments; this is how my animations were utilized during the screening.

Waze

A concept for a loading screen animation for the navigation app ‘Waze’. Since the logo is an icon representing a car, this is what the motion is heavily inspired by. The circle at the beginning is a play on the loading circles that often appear when a site, app, or document is booting up. To give the icon the illusion that it is driving down a road, quick flowing lines near the wheels; again, leading back to the fact that users using the app will be driving.
